A Privacy-First Edge Panel

This Privacy Policy describes how EdgeWise ("the app") handles information. EdgeWise is developed and published by Full Court Press LLC ("we", "us").

EdgeWise does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. All app configuration is stored locally on your device. The app does not make any network requests for the purpose of collecting or sending user data.

Information Stored
On Your Device

EdgeWise stores the following information on your device only. This data never leaves the device and is not accessible to us or any third party:

  • The list of app shortcuts you choose to display in the edge panel.
  • Your panel preferences — position, column count, icon size, theme, and label visibility.
  • A local cache of your premium purchase status, used to display the correct interface immediately when the app launches.

This information is removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data through Android system settings.

How EdgeWise Reads Your App List

To let you choose which apps to add to the edge panel, EdgeWise reads the list of apps installed on your device at runtime. This information is used only to display the app picker and to load app icons.

It is not stored, not logged, and not transmitted off your device.

What We Request,
And Why

EdgeWise requests the following Android permissions, each used solely for the purpose described:

Display Over Other Apps

Required to draw the edge panel on top of other applications, so it can be summoned from anywhere in your workflow.

Required to keep the edge-detection service running so the panel can be summoned at any time, even after long periods of inactivity.

Query All Packages

Required so the app picker can list all installed apps as candidates for the edge panel. EdgeWise functions as a launcher utility.

Required to restart the edge-detection service after the device reboots, so the panel is available immediately on startup.

Ignore Battery Optimizations

Requested optionally so Android does not put the edge-detection service to sleep. EdgeWise still functions if you decline this permission.

Notably, EdgeWise does not request internet access for its core functionality. The app cannot transmit data even if it wanted to.

Optional Premium Unlock

EdgeWise offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock additional customization features. All purchase processing is handled by Google Play Billing.

EdgeWise does not receive, store, or process payment information of any kind. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information on how Google handles purchase transactions.

Use by Minors

EdgeWise is not directed at children under 13. Because the app does not collect any personal information, it does not knowingly collect information from children.

If this policy changes in the future, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
